Archive

The Gnomads have generated an enormous amount of material in the process of recording their varied history. Sadly (but in some cases, fortunately) much of this documentation has long since disappeared over the years. That which remains is being slowly and painstakingly digitally re-mastered, prior to inclusion on this site. This is an on-going process, but the results thus far can be viewed via this page.

Stockport Beer Festival Review (originally submitted by Barney) - Year Unknown:

Stockport Beer Festival - Friday 2nd June Review:
Some Gnomads and Gnomadettes traveled on a very wet night to the Town Hall for what we all agreed was a very average festival. The only beer considered pleasant was 'Chaos' from the Oakham brewery in Peterborough; some beers were barely drinkable. One beer claimed to be 'deceptively drinkable' - ? A band playing Cajun type music attempted to liven things up and we all had a good old laugh when it was discovered that the Tonsil's Tonsil has his own brewery in Perth - 'Inveralmond' - he's kept that quiet. A fine surely, Mr. Chairman. Some Gnomads have already sampled too much Hyde's 'Hair Raid' - a warning for the less follically challenged. 'Manx Cat', 'Butt Jumper', 'White Dwarf', 'Lamp Oil', 'Wee Star', 'High Dyke' and 'Black Stump' remained untried or unavailable. Maybe next year.
