Sunday Aug 27th v Charlesworth
Charlesworth 197 for 6 ( J. McCarthy 2 for 8 off two overs) Gnomads 166 for 9 (D.Gates no 40, Joe Jessop retd 30, Ralph Stevenson 31. A great recovery from 67 for 7 after 17 overs. Gates and Jessop are claiming a record for the eighth wicket - needs some archival research! The opposition did have four players under 20 years old - you know the sort who dive about in the field to save boundaries and that sort of thing, so all in all it was a good show by the Gnomes.
